Apple Picking!
Come on! Who didn't take a "Snow Day" or two up in Oak Glen...
Yucaipa is best-known for its apple orchards, located seven miles east of the City, in an area called Oak Glen, where its mile-high altitude results in some of the best-tasting apples ever grown (even better than those grown in Washington State). The first orchards were owned by the Parrish, Rivers, Law, and Wilshire families(the oldest being the Parrish Pioneer Ranch, founded by Enoch Parrish in 1876);descendants of the founding families currently own these orchards.
